Thermix TX Pro will be introduced in Italy

Ensinger and CIV System show further improved Thermix spacer for insulating glass units with a warm edge at Vitrum

Nufringen (Germany/Milan (Italy), July 26, 2017 - This year’s Vitrum (3-6 October 2017) is expected to attract roughly 350 exhibitors and more than 18,000 visitors to Milan. Ensinger and its partner for Italy, CIV System, will be presenting the new Thermix TX Pro spacer. The successor of the well-established Thermix TX.N plus comes lighter and with a slightly improved Psi-value.

“Aim of the facelift was to further improve the workability of our spacer”, says Andreas Prechtl, Export Sales Manager at Ensinger. “Thermix TX Pro is similarly stable, yet lighter. The lower mass inertia leads to less swinging and therefore to reduced material stress. So the bending process runs even smoother.”

Efficient performance

“How well Thermix spacers work in practice can be seen live during the Vitrum fair”, says Andreas Prechtl. “Lombarda Macchine, manufacturer for bending machines, will be showing the bending process with Thermix on a demonstration line at its stand.”

Rigid Thermix spacers make it easy to replace traditional aluminum bars in IGU processing. Thanks to the combination of highly insulating plastic, reinforcing wires and a thin stainless-steel diffusion barrier, Thermix spacers have very good thermal properties and enable insulation glazing with outstanding UW values.

Certified component

Ensinger, a leading specialist for engineered plastics, is continuously refining Thermix, one of the first hybrid spacers. “The product range includes spacers, muntin bars and matching accessories. Recently, Thermix once again received the seal of the independent Passive House Institute. Its tested thermal characteristic values offer reliable planning assistance for energy-efficient buildings, for example, using energy balancing software.
