The groundbreaking ceremony has taken place

New construction of the company building of Poppe + Potthoff Maschinenbau has started

Nordhausen (Germany), October 12, 2023 - Poppe + Potthoff Maschinenbau GmbH was founded in 2007 as part of the internationally active Poppe + Potthoff Group in Nordhausen, Thuringia (Germany). The expert for testing technology and special machine construction employs around 50 people and, as market leader, supports customers worldwide with state-of-the-art test stands. To accommodate the company's steady growth, construction has now begun on a new company building. To this end, Poppe + Potthoff Maschinenbau will invest around 10 million euros in the new company headquarters in Nordhausen. The final move is scheduled to take place at the end of 2024.

Poppe + Potthoff Maschinenbau has many years of experience in testing and high-pressure technology as well as in special machine construction. The focus is on the testing of cooling circuit components in electric vehicles, test systems for the development of H2 components, as well as test stands individually adapted to customer specifications for use in various industries such as aerospace. As a specialist in high-pressure technology, the company thereby supports the development and production of resilient components with pressure cycling, burst or functional test benches. In recent years, sustainable technologies in particular have become an important factor for Poppe + Potthoff Maschinenbau. For example, the innovative test stands for components in e-mobility or components for hydrogen applications are in demand worldwide.

The young, highly qualified team of Poppe + Potthoff Maschinenbau has grown continuously over the past years. This growth is to continue in the future. Thus, the company plans to double the number of its employees at the new location. “We want to make a contribution to emission-free mobility and industry with our test stands,” says Managing Director Philip Claussen. “The new company building and the growth of our company will allow us to continue to meet this aspiration in the future.”
