Poppe + Potthoff Maschinenbau: The specialist for quality assurance of steel and plastic parts under pressure expands capacities, services and portfolio

Nordhausen (Germany), April 22, 2015 - Since 2006, Poppe + Potthoff Maschinenbau has been developing and producing customized technical systems and is now stepping up its growth. The international presence is being expanded, among others, by participating in trade fairs such as the Automotive Testing Expo in Germany (16 to 18 June 2015), China (15 to 17 September 2015 and North America (20 to 22 October 2015). In addition, new partners enhance the customer service and support in Asia and North America.

In Nordhausen (Germany) the company has just moved into a new, larger building. “Here we are now also thoroughly testing prototypes and serial production parts,” says managing director Stefan Dreyer. “With this service we strengthen the flexibility of our customers and help them improve their products.” Poppe + Potthoff Maschinenbau offers technical systems for bursting pressure and leakage tests, impulse pressure testing, autofrettage and automated testing.

New additions to the portfolio include an impulse test stand for positive and negative pressure testing of automotive components, as well as a machine for testing the tightness and burst resistance of plastic components. “The pressure regulation to 50 bar is extremely fine,” explains Frank Baudler, Head of Research & Development. “In addition, the machine is equipped with a pressure intensifier, thus fulfilling highest current and future demands on the testing of plastic components, such as in the automotive and industrial sector.”
